The winner of the Old World meets New World contest is Eliott Prada, a Fashion Illustration and Textile Design teacher at the Art Institute in Miami, Florida. Eliott also makes his living as a freelance textile designer, selling his work at major design shows such as Surtex and Printsource. Eliott brings a passion to design that is very evident in all his work. This passion translates into a strong desire to share his design knowledge and creativity with those eager to learn, "That is one of the main reasons that I teach at the Art Institute, Miami. I give much of myself to students and all around me that need help and in return I get the satisfaction of seeing how I can influence and encourage others as much as they influence and encourage me and my work. Being around creative people with an authentic desire to learn and share is the engine that keeps me moving." Eliott's inspiration originates from nature and its vibrant colors. His favorite artists and designers include Kyril, Raphael, Michael Angelo, and Kline.
